Johnny Cash Custom Painted Jeans

I picked these men's jeans up at a thrift store with the intentions of painting them.

I just returned home from Nashville where I visited The Johnny Cash Museum as well as Johnny & June Carter Cash's graves. I loved Johnny before my trip to Nashville but I came home with a deeper understanding of who he was. I've painted him a few times already but he's just so fun to paint. His features are so distinguishable and is face is full of character.

So yeah, these jeans. I've been holding onto them until I was inspired to paint something on them. Once I returned from Nashville I knew it was Johnny I wanted to paint.

I painted CASH on the lower left leg and on the right leg is the painted portrait of Johnny in his mug shot. I used fabric medium with my acrylic paint so the painting will last with proper care.
